Details about the home:
A modern, purpose-built facility,this Care Centre is a three-storey building with a passenger lift for the easy mobility for residents. Featuring 60 beds – all with an en suite – and an easily accessible urban garden with fountain and pathways, the centre is designed to give residents comfort in their everyday life.
Located in Drayton, Portsmouth, the nursing home provides a variety of care types, including end of life care, respite care, nursing careand 24/7 residential care, as well as catering for those with dementiaand challenging behaviour. Each resident receives a comprehensive pre-assessment to ascertain their needs, and funding advice is available if required.
Who you are /person specification:
With your kind and compassionate nature, you'll love to spend time talking to residents, learning a life history, hobbies past and present, and what their favourite knock-knock joke is.
You'll take great pride in helping a resident to achieve the smallest of conquests. You smile through everything and you'll bring happiness to your work every single day.

- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience in a similar role is mandatory
The day to day job role:
- Fully supported by your team, you’ll work closely with our residents, their families, friends & carers to provide strong & safe, physical & emotional care.
- You will be passionate to empower & support residents to achieve even the smallest of conquests through encouraging choice, independence & dignity.
- With unparalleled kindness, you’ll assist the everyday needs of our residents, from personal care & companionship to joining in with activities & events.
- You’ll be highly organised with excellent attention to detail & a willingness to learn.

- As part of the role, you may be requested to work some weekends.
