Main Duties
We are looking to recruit two Support Workers for an 11-year-old male child with ADHD and a Learning Disability. we need to recruit two support workers so that the hours can be shared, both day time hours and overnight hours. This will also provide cover for each support worker when taking their own holiday entitlement.
Support is required to help this child access age-appropriate social and leisure activities in the local community and also, to provide 2 overnights respite for the family during a 4-weekly period. He has many strengths however needs practical and verbal prompting support with his independence skills and requires structure in his day.

Person Specification:
The successful applicant must:
- have experience and a positive understanding about children who have disabilities
- have a genuine interest in working with children with complex needs
- have a high degree of initiative
- be punctual and reliable as the child cannot be left unsupervised
- be flexible and have a happy, positive and caring nature
- respect confidentiality
Hours:
6 hours per week during all school holiday weeks, some flexibility as to which days the support takes place.
2 overnights per 4-week period, further to details to be discussed with suitable applicants.
Rate of pay:
Rate of pay:
£10.82 per hour.
Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata.
Any out-of-pocket expenses will be paid by the employer.
Additional Information
Car driver required and must be insured for business use.
The successful candidate will require an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS), cost to be met by employer.
