Location: HerefordJob Type: Care Assistant – DaysFull or Part Time: Full Time or Part TimeWorking Pattern: Working on a Rota basisHourly Rate: £10.80 - £11.20 (dependent on qualification/s and experience)Qualification: Hold or willing to work towards NVQ 2 and 3DutiesEnabling residents to live their life to the full.Provide support and companionship in a stimulating and homely environment.You will supporting our residents with day to day living (bathing, dressing and personal care) and promoting their life choices and wellbeing.Essential Criteria / Desirable CriteriaPersonal Qualities· Warm and friendly· Positive person with a fun outlook on life and full of smiles· Genuine interest in working with the elderly· Excellent communication skillsKnowledge· Understanding what it means to ‘care’· Demonstrate compassion and empathy· Hold NVQ/RQF or other recognized qualification in Health and Social Care· Willingness to keep learningAbilities / Skills· Caring and committed to working to high standards· Ability to build and maintain positive professional working relationships· Ability to work on own initiative· Be able to work flexibly· Work effectively as part of a teamExperience· Demonstrate dignity, privacy, equality, diversity and respecting resident’s rights.· Working within a Care setting or care of a relative/friend· Demonstrating person centered care· Knowledge of Dementia/End of Life careBenefits:· Free Holiday: Free use of Company Lodge in Devon.
