The Avenue are looking to expand its care and support team. We are looking for 2 Care Assistants (16hour per week) to join our team. Please note, we are not looking for temporary staff, and are looking for people who are wanting a role for the long-term. Equally, we are needing staff whom are flexible, and will not consider individuals whom are unable to work specific times, or days. We require staff whom are able to work throughout the day and week.

The Avenue is a small 3 bedded care home, for adults with learning disabilities.

The role:
The Avenue are looking to expand its care team, to support our residents with maintaining their home, accessing the community, and day-to-day tasks.
The role of care assistant is to provide care and support to individuals with a learning disability, based on their wishes, wants, and needs.
You will support people with all aspects of their daily living, including social and physical activities, general household and maintenance duties, personal care, mobility, meal times, medication etc. You will work to structure and timescales, and meeting these are an essential part of the role.
You will be contracted to 16hours per week, working flexible, including weekends, and public holidays. Shifts range from early morning, to late evening, including occasional night cover / sleep-ins (night support would be very rare, and not part of your working week). This role is to cover 365days per year. All employees will be passionate about caring for people and agree to undertake regular training as part of their personal development.

Pay: National minimum wage.
Additional: all roles at the home are subject to an enhanced DBS check. DBS will be covered by the home, with agreement with successful applicant.
