Acacia Care is coming to Hinckley! Currently in the last stages of construction and due to open in Autumn, Granville Gardens Care Home is seeking thoughtful and compassionate Care Assistants to join us on this exciting new journey. Providing residential, respite, and dementia care, with 68 state-of-the-art rooms for residents to reside in, spacious dining and lounge areas, and so much more, we are excited to be bringing this opportunity to Hinckley!

With the desire to always improve and develop their staff skillset, you will be encouraged to progress and develop skills, qualifications and training with the support of the company, so no experience is required!

What you will receive as a Care Assistant

  • £11.63 per hour
  • Full-time, permanent contract
  • 38.5 hours per week on a rolling 6-week rota
  • 12 hours shifts, 3 on 3 off, 8am-8pm
  • Based in Hinckley - LE10 0JD

What you will be doing as a Care Assistant;

  • Support residents with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene
  • Provide support at meal times
  • Ensure residents maintain good nutrition
  • Assist residents to mobilise safely around the home
  • Undertake light housekeeping duties such as tidying residents’ rooms, making and changing beds, etc.
  • Interacting with, and encouraging residents to socialise and take part in activities
  • Liaise with other care professionals relating to the needs of the residents

What you will need to be successful as a Care Assistant;

  • Experience working within a caring environment
  • NVQ L2 in Direct Care
  • The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcome and comfortable
  • Supervisory and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire
  • Willingness to develop new skills
