Contract type: Full and part time hours available
Shifts Available: Day and night shifts available 8-8
Rate/Salary: From £10 to £10.36 dependent on experience

About Fairburn Mews:

Fairburn Mews supports 20 adults living with complex mental health needs and Huntington’s disease. The home’s Lowrie Unit is the only unit in England to be accredited by the Huntington’s Disease Association.

The home has two ten-bed units which gives it a homely and welcoming feel.

Fairburn Mews is rated ‘Good’ with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and has an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 on carehome.co.uk.

In 2021, the home’s Chef won ‘The Care Home Chef’ Award at the Great British Care Awards.

About the Role:

The Care Assistant role will involve supporting people with all aspects of their day-to-day living, which may include taking up new hobbies, meeting friends, getting involved in social activities, going to the gym or looking their best!

A Care Assistant day-to-day duties will include:

  • Providing personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and on occasion, assisting with meal times
  • Promote independence, dignity, respect and choice across service users
  • Support social and recreational activities; both in and out the home individually, or as part of a group
  • Maintain care records; recording observations, activities and assessments
  • On occasion, welcome and train new members of your care team
