Job description

We are working closely with a local authority in Swindon to hire a care assistant. The successful candidate will be working in a residential care home managed by the local authority.

Ideally you will be someone who has the following:

• At least 6 months care experience
• Has a care certificate or NVQL3
• Has an enhanced DBS and is registered with update service
• Availiable to start work immediately
• Has right to work in UK and proof towards it
• Has all mandatory trainings upto date or willing to complete them
• Can provide at least 5 years of work reference
• A willingness to work flexibly across daytime and evenings
• A working knowledge and understanding of equipment and adaptations and how this is applied to service delivery and national standards for adults.
• A working knowledge and understanding of the principles of co-production, working in person-centred ways, how to develop resilience and improve wellbeing
• A working knowledge of information technology, processing skills including the use of e-mail.
• Ability to accurately interpret customer and client needs, appropriate elements event information.
• Ability to adapt information according to the needs of the recipient

Trainings:

• First Aid
• Food & Hygiene
• GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires an enhanced DBS
