Our shift patterns:
We don’t offer zero hour contracts. Instead, we want to ensure all of our care team knows that we can guarantee a minimum number of hours no matter what. In all of these contracts, you can still pick up extra work if you wish to!
So that all of our team can have weekends off, we require all of our team to have full availability on all shift patterns to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
- Late set shift pattern - 15 minimum guaranteed weekly hours
This would see you working tea and bed calls during the week (4pm-10pm).
- Early set shift pattern - 20 minimum guaranteed weekly hours
This would see you working morning and lunch calls (7am-3pm) during the week.
- Full time rota pattern - 30 minimum guaranteed weekly hours
This would see you working a mix of morning, lunch and tea calls during the week. Including your weekend to work, we would typically require you to work only 3 bed runs each week.
Continuous Training:
Whether you are changing careers or have many years of care experience, we want you to be equipped to handle situations that you aren’t used to and to deliver homecare confidently and knowledgeably. To enable you to do so, we offer:
- In your first week, our Training Department will teach you all of the basics in providing exceptional care to people in their homes.
- After 3 months with us, you will complete your Care Certificate.
- Following this, you will carry on building your skills with additional training on Advanced Dementia and End of Life training.
- After your first year, we want you to take control of your learning! You will have 4 days of paid training to use every year and can choose from a variety of topics.
Your working day:
Supporting the people you care for with all aspects of their day to day living.
This includes social and physical activities, personal care, medication administration, mobility assistance and meal preparation.
Why is £2.00 per visit better than 40p per mile?
Our visit payment of £2.00 per visit works out much better than 40p per mile as calls are usually much less than a mile apart. On average this works out much better for you than mileage payments. You will be supporting people in: West Hallam, Kirk Hallam, Shipley, Stanley Common, Mapperley, Stanton by Dale, Risley, Cossall and Awsworth.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to have worked in the care sector before to apply with us. A lot of our carers have come from a range of professional backgrounds such as: hospitality, support work, factory work, retail, residential care, nursing, childcare and administration to name a few!
