Arriva Traincare have an exciting opportunity for a Depot Labourer to join the team based in Bristol.
Reporting into the Depot Manager you will support the general upkeep and housekeeping of the depot in Bristol. You will be supporting staff carrying out the maintenance and overhaul of Rail Vehicles to laid down standards and procedures.
You’ll receive additional benefits including a salary of £21,673 per annum, pension, healthcare cover, life cover, Arriva Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme.
This is a permanent contract working an average of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:30
What will I be doing?
Carry out work as allocated by the Depot Manager / Team Leader within set timescales.
Carry out cleaning or simple maintenance tasks on rail vehicles
Ensure that the appropriate quality and environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to
Take part in technical, quality, safety and general briefings and safety tours, and ensure that the necessary action is taken on items raised.
Use of all PPE in accordance with standards and local instructions.
Ensure all documentation/ paperwork issued relating to the work being carried out is fully completed
What will you need to be considered?
Previous experience as a Labourer/ Cleaner is essential- Knowledge and understanding of COSHH
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
