JOB SUMMARY
The main purpose of the role of care assistant is to support our service users to live well, to protect them from harm, including any form of abuse, prevent deterioration of (and promote) physical and mental health plus positive well-being to encourage independence. We provide support to service users (male and female) with learning disabilities who may have profound multiple and complex disabilities and from various diverse backgrounds. To care for service users in non-discriminatory ways, respecting each user’s dignity, individuality, cultural and social background, and independence. You will support service users with all aspects of their day-to-day living, so they can enjoy the best quality of life. Providing care and support offers many rewards but can also be challenging. Compassion, good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role in our company.
