Care and Support Worker
Jothno Care & Support LTD is an up-and-coming care service provider committed to delivering exceptional support and care to our clients. As a rapidly growing company, we are dedicated to promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for those in need of care. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our dynamic team in Slough (SL1 and SL2).
Position Overview:
As a Care Worker at Jothno Care & Support LTD, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support services to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with various daily living activities, ensuring they lead fulfilling and comfortable lives in the comfort of their own homes. Your empathy, patience, and professionalism will be essential in creating a positive and supportive environment for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Personalised Care: Provide compassionate and person-centred care tailored to the individual needs of each client, respecting their preferences and promoting independence.
- Assistance with Daily Living: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Medication Management: Ensure clients adhere to their medication schedules, assist with medication administration as required, and accurately document medication records.
- Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and assist clients with eating when necessary.
- Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Mobility Assistance: Provide support and assistance with mobility aids, transfers, and exercises to promote physical well-being and prevent falls.
- Communication and Reporting: Maintain clear and accurate records of care activities, observations, and any changes in clients' conditions, communicating effectively with the Care Coordinator and healthcare professionals.
- Companionship Outings: Accompany clients on social outings, appointments, or recreational activities, promoting their engagement and involvement in the community.
- Dignity and Respect: Treat clients with dignity, respect, and sensitivity to their cultural, religious, and personal beliefs.
- Health and Safety: Comply with all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both clients and staff.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge as a Care Worker.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other care team members, sharing information and experiences to provide cohesive and efficient care services.
- Crisis Management: Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, following established protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Promote Independence: Encourage and support clients in maintaining their independence and achieving their personal goals.
- Supporting Individuals: Support individuals with learning disabilities to the highest standard towards meeting agreed outcomes.
- Reaching Potential: Providing support to our service users to empower them to live meaningful lives at the heart of their local community enabling them to reach their full potential.

Salary: £10.75-£13.00 per hour
