A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Care and Support department as an Assistant Operations Manager on a full-time permanent basis.
At Estuary, we support adult service users across our 12 supported living homes and in the community. We support adults with learning disabilities, complex physical and/or mental health needs to ensure excellent person-centred care is delivered through a caring, safe, and responsive service.
We’re looking for a motivated leader to work alongside our operations manager & managers of our services to ensure high compliance is met, action plans are created and effectively implement alongside being a visible presence in our services. You will have support from the Care & Support team to achieve Estuary’s aims.
The successful applicant will have previous care and support service management experience.
Job Requirements;
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
To work with Operations manager to create, monitor and review service action plans to ensure we maintain a robust approach to performance management.
To manage & support the Services Co Ordinator ensuring all monthly audits are completed timely and accurately.
Income management: - have an understanding of our funding streams, the ability to convert income into actual hours deployed ensuring monthly deployed hours are gathered and invoices raised and authorised.
Ensure any service vacancies (Voids) are filled as quickly as possible timely manner, working with the Service manager and Housing Officer.
Review, manage and monitor agency spend to ensure we are within budget and report monthly to the Operations manager.
Support the Head of Care & Support & Operations Manager in developing a performance management culture in the Care & Support team, with the ethos of having the right people, in right place & with the right skills.

What we’re looking for;
Knowledge of the regulators and legislation that govern our services and an understanding of where to find this information.
Ability to manage services, achieving quality through excellent people management
Ability to communicate effectively using a range of communication methods at all levels.
Previous Care and support service management.
Working with resident groups including learning disabilities and people living with mental health.
Ability to coordinate and prioritise own workload.
Ability to participate in the department on-call duty rota for Directorate services.
