Job description

McCarthy Stone are recruiting for a Care Assistant to join the team at our prestigious Retirement Living Plus development, Gilbert Place in Swindon, Wiltshire. Opened earlier in 2022, Gilbert Place consists of 65 apartments and was built to encourage independent living for the over 70's that may, or may not need care.

Salary: £10.72 per hour plus additional pay (see below)

Hours: 20 per week

About the role: As a Care Assistant you will provide the highest quality of care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. Duties will be varied and include supporting our residents with personal care needs and helping them to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. Every day will be diverse, and you’ll have the opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference.

About you:

  • You will be a warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience of working in a care or support environment.
  • You will have a passion for making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy working as part of team in a busy work setting.
  • You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification although consideration will be given to a candidate with an alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
