The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the full end to end proposition of our Card Acquiring and Payments products to meets customers’ needs. They will act as a subject matter expert for customers and colleagues.

Cardnet is Lloyds banking Group’s card payment acceptance service. We help businesses to take payment by credit or debit card in person, online and when the cardholder is not present. Cardnet is a joint venture between Lloyds Banking Group and Fi-Serve. Fi-Serve are one of the world’s largest card processors.
The Role
Joining Cardnet's Commercial Client Development Team as a specialist Relationship Manager, you'll be responsible for promoting the growing range of products and services provided by Cardnet directly with a Portfolio of existing “Bronze” customers with cards turnover of up to £75 million. You'll be responsible for establishing, managing, and developing long term profitable relationships with SME clients providing excellent customer service and maximising business opportunities.
In this field based role, no two weeks are the same. You'll use your exceptional self motivation and determination to effectively schedule your own time to meet your varied commitments.
A key focus of your time will be spent out in the field, conducting face to face meetings with existing customers from your Portfolio. Your strong relationship management skills will allow you to successfully manage c70 customers where you'll be responsible for retention of the portfolio as well as identifying ways in which to add value to the relationship through additional product offerings.
You'll have excellent negotiation abilities along with a real determination to deliver. Using your customer focused approach, you'll ensure that doing the right thing for customers is at the heart of all your recommendations and decision making.
What we'll need from you
Experience & Knowledge
- Full and extensive specialist knowledge of card acquiring payment and data solutions.
- Working knowledge of acquiring schemes, their drivers, industry dynamics, interchange, and future product service deliverables.
- An up to date knowledge of Industry related technical development.
- Knowledge of relevant third party suppliers (e.g. technology) and partners.
- Total awareness of the interests and relationships in existence within any prospective client.
- An exceptional profit performance record, ideally within a Client Relationship Management environment.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Proven success rate in negotiating at the highest level.
