Fairway Tyres & Auto Services (Watford) - Motor Mechanic

Are you looking for a new career move? Fairway Tyres is one of Watford's largest and most respected garage and we're now looking for qualified mechanics to join the team.

Roles & responsibilities for the Mechanic role:

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance work to high standards
• Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostics equipment
• Repairing/replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects
• Maintaining equipment
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs
• Following checklists
• Helping junior members of staff (when required)

Essential skills for the Mechanic role:

• Practical experience working in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a busy team
• Proactive and able to work at a good pace
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions (both verbal and written)
• A full, clean driving licence

Working hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
Saturday - 8:30am - 1:00pm (alternate)

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £28,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
