Accenture Research is looking for a Manager to join our Financial Services research team. The successful candidate will help drive thought-provoking Capital Markets research for Accenture and its clients drawing on proprietary data & analysis, and partnerships with leading organizations. The is based in London within the UK & Ireland (UKI) research team, but you will work alongside colleagues from all over the world.

The new Manager will join our Financial Services Research team of ~40 researchers worldwide and will work directly with other members of the research team to support the needs of the Capital Markets practice.
Key Responsibilities include:
Build productive working relationships with senior executives/clients in the Capital Markets Network in the UKI and overall European market
Drive both Thought Leadership and Client Research projects managing a portfolio of research requests, including a mix of local (UKI/Europe) and global targeted projects, both for internal Accenture objectives and directly for Accenture clients.
Demonstrate deep understanding of issues in area of expertise as well as strong value and financial acumen
Facilitate discussion of findings with senior leaders and current or potential large clients to support business development
Proactively generate and originate new pipeline. Develop new Accenture Research assets collaborating with Innovation team
Demonstrate ability to lead teams of research analysts and specialists on research projects. Support development of researchers as people lead.
Take responsibility for all aspects of project budgeting, planning and delivery.

Core requirements
We are looking for someone with knowledge and research skills particularly in the Capital Markets industry; there may be occasions in which they will work on projects outside this core industry.
Successful research requires people who not only have strong research skills but who also have a client-focused mentality and a confident personal style. Competences may include:
Analytical & issue-based problem-solving skills: we want researchers who can identify key issues and, in a logical, structured manner, use these issues to drive their efforts. We expect individuals to draw out the implications of the research they conduct and tell a compelling, business-focused story about the data that is relevant to Accenture’s business and clients. We are looking for insights, not just information.
Strong business communication skills: You must be able to present your research findings to customers and explain your findings and conclusions.
Great relationship building and managerial skills: We expect you to be able to generate your own work, so you will need have excellent interpersonal skills, be outgoing and able to develop effective relationships with senior personnel from the business.
Understanding of the Capital Markets industry: Knowledge and experience of current business industry topics related to one or several of the following industry sectors: Investment Banking (Preferred), Market Infrastructure, Asset & Wealth Management, and Corporate Banking. Able to demonstrate the understanding of the key industry trends and challenges, the value chain, the company financial value drivers, the key players, the technology / IT evolution, consumer trends.
Technology/innovation mindset: Of paramount importance are tenacity, personal drive and an eagerness to learn and apply new skills and knowledge. As a team, we place a strong emphasis on being at leading-edge of innovation in research.
Qualifications & Work Experience:
A bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, economics, engineering or computer science. A post-graduate degree/qualification in business (e.g., MBA), economics, or data science is a plus.
Business research experience, preferably in a management/strategy consulting environment, Bank or Capital Markets firm, third party research organization, etc. Experience working in Financial Services or closely with the Capital Markets industry.
Possess deep research and data analytics expertise, shaping analysis and insights that enable Accenture and our clients to generate global impact.
Understanding of business and economics issues at large.
Additional understanding and experience of new trends impacting the Financial Services markets (e.g., topics such as Fintech, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Robotics, Distributed Ledger Technology, Quantum Computing, Metaverse) will be an added advantage
Experience with alternative modes of research delivery/data visualization tools also a plus (e.g., MS PowerBI, Tableau etc.).
