Job description
Our Capital Analytics Manager is responsible for developing and embedding metrics reflecting the rapidly evolving IQUW’s risk profile in order to support underwriting decisions and reinsurance purchases.
The location for this role is our London office. The classification of the role is Hybrid, this entails 3 days collaborating with colleagues in the office, and 2 days working from home each week.
Your main responsibilities in the role will be to:
- Actively contribute to IQUW’s strategy.
- Develop and maintain metrics to support
- Capital allocation
- Underwriting decisions
- Reinsurance placement
- Business planning exercise
- Investment strategy
- Set up and develop a dynamic feedback loop with relevant parts in the business to ensure model outputs are actively used to support decisions.
- Attendee to the relevant committees; Underwriting & Strategy Performance committees, Finance committees, Reserving committees
- Extensively collaborate with other business functions. Ensure a strong feedback loop.
- Support information coordination with Management Information, Finance, Exposure Management, Pricing, Reserving to ensure one view of risk
- Work in collaboration with the Capital Modelling team to ensure homogeneity of assumptions and appropriate feedback
- Meet regulatory requirements.
- Reinsurance Actuarial Function Report
- 5 years capital projection & other ORSA contributions
- Support the capital model validation, from a Capital Modelling team side

- Have influential leadership capabilities
- Have strong written and face to face communication skills. The role implies strong interactions with Underwriting, Finance and Actuarial department.
- Have good IT skills, including a capital modelling software. Tyche is a plus.
- Good capital modelling knowledge, including both Lloyd’s and PRA requirements.
- Knowledge of general insurance, including property and specialty lines of business.
