he Vacancy: Veritech Security have a vacancy in our Team for Campus Safety Officer working from Solent University located in Southampton.

The shifts will be:

· Day Shifts – Monday to Friday

  • 8 hours per shift
  • Overtime is available

The role involves:

  • Completing regular Patrols on campus.
  • Completing incident reports, incident reports, call out reports using the Veritech Security software programme.
  • Handling and safe storage of client keys according to Veritech Security policies and procedures.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports where required.
  • Report in detail any suspicious incidents or occurrences.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Ensure Health & Safety is adhered to and issues are reported accordingly to the control room.
  • Assist with report writing in relation to incidents and occurrences.
  • Working as part of a team for the out of hours function of the business, but also able to work alone, whilst always being supported by the 24hr control room function during your duty Liaising with the facilities management team and assisting where required.
  • Car park checks to ensure that people have permits and are parked correctly, issue warnings and tickets when needed.
  • Ensure that the site is secure and locked at the end of each day.
  • Patrols of satellite sites.
  • Alarm response to fire and intruder and to investigate activations.

·The ideal candidate:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years security industry experience.
  • Hold a valid SIA licence SG/DS
  • Be able to meet the screening requirement of BS 7858
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Reliable with excellent time-management skills are key to this role.
  • Be of smart appearance, well-groomed and confident in handling incident situations
  • Have excellent communication & administration skills and must be computer literate, working with excel and word and company software systems.
  • Be willing to attend company training courses when required.
  • Always adhere to company policies and procedure
  • Hold in date first aid qualification
  • Fire Marshall Training
