Pinc College is seeking to appoint a Campus Lead for 2 of its Stoke Gallery/Museum/Creative Campus.
TERM TIME ONLY plus one week
salary Circa £26,000 £30,000
The role
As Campus Lead you will be responsible for creating a supportive culture, leading and supporting a small team of Teachers and Learning Support and up to 15 students accessing Art, Design and Craft at our Specialist Creative College.
The Campus Lead is responsible for the day to day running combined with the safeguarding and wellbeing of your team and students. As Lead you will over see track and monitor your students and their holistic progress, while nurturing supportive relationships with family and linked professionals
You will manage the setting and lead on connecting locally for a rich and diverse learning experience. Experience of leading teams within education, coupled with a solid background in SEND are essential, for this stand out opportunity.
You do not need to be a qualified Teacher. Extensive experience of leading pastorally in education/SEND and leading others.
Safeguarding training and experience at managerial level required.
You will be able to lead a team who educate, safeguard and support neurodiverse students, (16 – 25 year olds).
This will require sustaining of strong partnerships with professional Local Authority teams and the Cultural sector. The role would be four or five days per week initially by negitioation.
The Specialist College for creative education has an alternative approach to education and supports additional/high needs routes to wellbeing, engagement and employment. Mindfulness to be respectful, responsible, safe and kind, are at the core of the college’s values. The successful Campus Lead will be supporting the newly opened Campus and its growth, joining a fantastic team of teachers, SENCOs and wellbeing specialists to work together to support the needs of the young people.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Campus Lead, you will:
- Have previous experience of leading teams in Education
- Be able to work flexibly and build partnerships
- Have confidence ion leading a new initiative
- Work closely with Cardiff and Vale College and their central teams and systems
- Have a background in SEND education
- Be passionate and inspiring in leading a team and confident in leading and developing a new concept
- Be confident in managing HR operationally
- Have a comprehensive understanding of working with young people attributed EHCP’s for a Special Educational Needs,
- Due to the nature of the role, suitable candidates will need to be confident as a designated safeguarding lead, following up any safeguarding issues or concerns when necessary and share appropriate information with external agencies involved in supporting the needs of the young person.
