Job description

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assisting in reception, dealing with guests requests
  • Ensuring that the Parlour and outside patio area is kept clean and tidy, Flowers watered and making sure that the fire pit is cleaned out and set ready to be lit when necessary
  • Keeping the reception area tidy and clean, maintaining stock levels and checking use-by dates
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment, including regular litter picking
  • Regular rubbish collection, making sure that the recycling is sorted into the relevant bins and keeping the bin area clean and tidy
  • Cleaning and checking the eco loos three times a day
  • Helping with the alpacas, ensuring that all the health & safety requirements are always followed.
  • Collection, cleaning and preparation of the fire pits, ensuring that they are always dealt with immediately so are ready to be used again
  • Filling up log nets
  • Clearing tables, collecting glasses and serving food if working the evening shift or evening function
  • General handy work around the site
  • Serving of food and occasional bar work
  • Dealing with customers over phone and/or via email

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a customer-facing role and excellent customer service skills. Good communication and IT skills are essential. Experience within the tourism/leisure industry would be advantageous but not necessary. You will need to be enthusiastic and well-organised with a helpful and professional manner. Above all, you will need to have the right attitude. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and so we expect you to do everything in your power to make their Verdant experience the absolute best it could possibly be. We don’t believe in ‘that’s not my job’ so you will need to be adaptable and flexible to help the wider park team meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Demonstrable skills in providing excellent customer service
  • A friendly, helpful and professional attitude
  • The ability to work in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with using basic computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, or the ability to pick up these skills quickly
  • Valid uk driving license

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
