Overview:
We are searching for a manager to lead the delivery of our Campaign and Specialist Recruitment team, promoting careers and vacancies at the Scottish Government.
This is a new post is based in the Attraction Team within HR Resourcing, in the People Directorate of Scottish Government.
The Resourcing Attraction Team promotes vacancies and careers across the public sector and supports high-profile and volume recruitment campaigns. We use a number of different channels to attract candidates and promote our employer brand through social media, our careers website and candidate events.
We are looking for a resourcing professional with experience in direct sourcing of candidates, delivering recruitment campaigns and managing a team. This key role will be focused on service delivery and improving performance and processes to help us reach new audiences and attract the best talent to come and work for the public sector.
It is an exciting time to join our team as we grow our Attraction Service, using the latest digital tools and innovations to establish our employer brand as a leader in the marketplace. The successful candidate for this position will play an essential role in shaping the future service offer of our Campaign and Specialist Recruitment team, defining new and creative ways to engage with our audiences and delivering on our organisational mission to work together to improve the lives of the people of Scotland.

1. Experience of people management including performance improvement.
2. Proven relationship management skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders and partners.
3. Demonstrable knowledge of the full resourcing life-cycle and industry regulations and requirements.
4. Ability to analyse data and quickly identify trends and summarise findings.
Minimum time in post
You will be expected to remain in post for a minimum of three years unless successful at gaining promotion to a higher Band or Grade. In the event that further posts are required, a reserve list of successful candidates will be kept for up to 12 months.

Lead the team, ensuring all team members have clear objectives an appropriate and manageable workload and clear understanding of priorities for action.
Act as a point of escalation to the team providing advice, feedback and resolving or escalating any issues.
Monitor and report on performance of the team, taking action to address any learning needs identified.
Use data effectively to understand trends and anticipate future requirements, taking action to remove blockers where necessary.
Participate in cross-government groups and activities, clearly communicating resourcing interests.
Work in partnership with the Resourcing Senior Leadership Team to deliver on strategic plans.
Act as a champion for the team promoting the services offered and highlighting the impact delivered.
