An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedFull Time Band 7 therapistwith generic & specialist CAMHS experience to work within a multi-disciplinary team in Kensington and Chelsea (K&C) CAMHS- Schools team
You will work in partnership with schools children and families to assess and respond to the psychological needs of children experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties. You will need to work innovatively and be able to undertake assessments and short-term interventions with children at risk and their families referred by schools. You will provide specialist advice and support school staff in identifying the mental health needs of children whilst accessing appropriate resources. You will also be called on to participate in core CAMHS assessment clinics and the Duty system.

This is a Full Time Permanent post and is part of a well-established systemic discipline where professional development and innovative work is actively encouraged.
The core elements of the Schools Team Early Intervention Worker role are the development and delivery of Early Intervention and Prevention models for children and Young Peoples mental health .
This is a team that works collaboratively with schools and provides daily consultation to support early intervention and closer working with our local schools.

K&C is a culturally diverse borough and we are keen to provide culturally appropriate services to families. We are looking for an enthusiastic therapist who has good amount of CAMHS experience and is able to integrate quickly into a busy CAMHS team.

1. To work in partnership with schools, children and families to assess and respond to the psychological needs of children experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties
2. To undertake assessment and short-term intervention work with children at risk and their families referred by schools
3. To provide specialist advice and support to school staff in the identification of mental health needs of children and accessing appropriate resources
4. To support education services to achieve the relevant outcomes for children attending local schools, in the context of emotional wellbeing
5. To offer an early intervention and referral service for pupils at risk of social exclusion, including referral to the K&C Tier three CAMH Services or other relevant CAMHS team
