CAM Programmer

We have an opportunity for a CAM Programmer to join our growing team at our Brackley site. We work to the highest standards and our Trim team are a critical part of managing this and supporting the production areas.
This is a day shift, working Monday to Friday. Core hours are 8am to 4:30pm. We offer competitive rates of pay, company pension, 23 days holiday plus the bank holidays, private healthcare and the opportunity for overtime during peak periods.
The Role:
The role is responsible for producing offline CNC programs using Delcam Power mill, Setting Sheets and general engineering support.
Key Responsibilities:
- To produce cutter paths within Powermill for 3 and 5 axis CNC machines producing patterns/moulds.
- To produce cutter paths within Powermill for 3 and 5 axis CNC machines producing melt-outs.
- To produce cutter paths within Powermill for 3 and 5 axis CNC machines producing carbon components.
- To create setup sheets and provide all the relevant drawing and information to machine the parts required.
- To ensure that all steps possible are used to verify the programmes created.
- To check the work of others within the department.
- To design all jigs and fixtures required using Delcam Power shape.
- Responsible for ensuring proven programs and associated paperwork are stored on the network.
- To be able to assist on the shop floor, running the machines where necessary.
- To have a completely flexible and ‘can do’ attitude to all tasks required and working practices.
SKILLS:
- Must possess a strong engineering background including precision machining, dealing with low volume, high value complex components.
- 2 years minimum experience with the offline Programming of CNC Milling machines using Delcam software package.
- Working knowledge of engineering materials and processing of such materials.
- Effective team player and communicator.
- Good verbal communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Used to working in a fast moving environment.
