About the role:
ResQsupport have an exciting opportunity for an individual to gain qualifications and experience in a highly specialised sector. The successful candidate will become a probationary rescue technician and will be developed with a clearly defined and academically verifiable pathway to competence.
The role involves traveling around UK working as part of a safety team and is usually 5 days a week living away from home (accommodation is provided). The role itself is variable to meet the needs of our clients but involves a high level of training and self discipline to be able to prevent and respond to emergency situations/
Initial training (Years 1-2)
· Qualsafe- First Response Emergency Care L3 qualification (5 days of training)
· City and Guilds- Confined space (High Risk) (2.5 days of training)
· City and Guilds- Confined space rescue (2.5days of training)
· CSCS SHEA Gas- safety course (1 day of training)
Intermediate training (Years 2-3):
· Swift Water Rescue Technician (5 days of training)
· Royal Yacht Association L3 powerboat training (2 days of training)
· Powerboat Emergency Response Search and Rescue (3 days of training)
· Rope Rescue Level 1 Operator (5 days of training)
Advanced development (Year 3):
Upon completion of the 2 year probationary development pathway the successful candidate will be able to advance to a level 5 academic diploma from Coventry University. The Diploma enables the candidate the option to specialise in a variety of fields in supervisory and instructional roles within the emergency response and risk management portfolio.

The role is open to persons of all ages however this specific role has been created with a young adult in mind as we aim to align the role to the Governmental apprenticeship scheme aimed at 18-21yr old adults.

· Demonstrate their ability in any field that represents a commitment to excellence
· Be caring, considerate of others and an enjoyable person to be around
· Have basic IT skills
· Be able to contribute to ResQsupport in a way that would benefit the company that we haven’t thought of
