Position: Customer Service Representative
Job Description:
The Customer Service Representative fields external customer questions, complaints and shipment tracking inquiries while demonstrating the highest degree of courtesy, integrity and professionalism to resolve customer issues via phone and email communication.
Core Functions:
- Answer incoming customer calls and provide basic information
- Notify customers daily of freight availability
- Data entry in a heavy traffic system
- Propose alternative solutions to resolve problems
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Skills:
- Ability to build relationships of trust
- Ability to use various types of equipment (i.e. computer, phone, etc.)to complete tasks
- Ability to perform data entry into a customer service database system
- Ability to write detailed reports/notes in clear written formats
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment as part of a “dual role” carrier staff member
- Have the ability to work various hours, including varying weekends and various days of the week, based upon customer needs
- Previous experience in a related industry or as a “newbie” is a plus!
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Technical training may be preferred. Successful completion of an approved business training program is a plus.
License/Certification: CSR License is required.

Salary: £20,855.00-£22,349.00 per year
