Job description
This position is for maternity cover but there is potential to become permanent.
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join a small team responsible for finishing our cakes ready for dispatch. We're a rapidly growing e-commerce company with unique technology that allows the personalisation of cakes with photographs and a range of bespoke designs for every occasion. The lucky candidate should be able to work to our exceptionally high standards in all aspects of production.
The ideal candidate will be from a food preparation background and have experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- The management and preparation of orders
- The finishing of cakes for dispatch.
- Management of stock
- Following company guidelines to create high quality, decorated cakes.
- Use of specialist equipment for the role
- Working to deadlines to ensure orders are fulfilled to high standards
- Adhere to all UK food safety regulations and guidelines
- Assembly of gift packaging.
- Responsible for quality checking of goods and general standards
- Involved in the entire cake journey from preparation to packing.
- Responsible for cleaning within the department, abiding by all company and COSHH guidelines
