Job description

Support the Bars Management Team by ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the Café Bar.


Deliver a high standard of customer service and care on a consistent basis demonstrating a professional, friendly and efficient manner at all times.


Support departmental colleagues in all aspects of the Café Bar operation


Undertake all training required as directed by the Bars Manager.


Undertake opening and closing duties within your department of work as well as other Hospitality departments (if and when required).


Assist in:


Stock taking of liquor on a weekly basis

Promoting good customer and staff relations

Promoting professional and friendly service of liquor, beverages and bar food

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and comfort


Put forward new ideas for discussion to help improve service and efficiency.


Comply with all food hygiene and liquor license legislation within the remit of the role.


Undertake or assist with correct opening and closing procedures.


Complete any activities requested in a timely and efficient manner.


Attend departmental meetings as requested.


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The post holder will undertake training and development as appropriate.


The post holder will carry out any other duties as appropriate to the post and as requested by the Hospitality Manager.

Hands-on waiting experience in a hospitality service environment


Excellent interpersonal skills


Well presented with a professional manner


Ability to maintain standards when working under pressure


Demonstrable desire to work in a customer facing hospitality role


A flexible attitude to business requirements and duties


A proven ability to effectively work in a multi-tasking environment


Highly presentable with a pro-active approach to maintaining excellent customer service


IT skills including a basic competency in Word and Excel
