CAD Technician
Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Based at Farnham Road hospital, Guildford with some flexible working.
37.5 hours per week – Monday – Friday 08.00-16.00
Band 5 - £18.57/hr
Travelling to various sites across the Surrey region required

Surrey & Borders Partnership NHSFT are looking for an experienced CAD Technician to join their existing team to assist them in bringing their existing drawings up to the latest standard. The role will require a high level of concentration and attention to detail with complex data and information for sustained periods.
Key responsibilities:
· Prepare, edit, update, and print AutoCAD drawings using contractor surveys and/or as directed by the engineers.
· Revision, corrections and auditing of existing drawings, working with layers, base planning, poly-lining and X-Refs to comply with updated standards. Trust drawings will cover site, building, and floor layout plans, fire plans, and all types of services plans as well as small projects of a varying nature.
· Identify faults and errors relating to the drawing files or drawing information.
· Adding space layers and required information to plans and ensuring that all naming conventions are updated to form a newly introduced convention style.
· Creation of project plans and demonstrate progress at weekly meetings.
Experience
· Proficient with AutoCAD software, trained to British/UK standard with a range of experience of working with drawings from floor plans to schematics.
· Ability to convert a wide variety of formats into CAD and check for accuracy.
· Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn new software quickly.
· Ability to work without direct supervision.
· Good communication skills, well organised, attention to detail, and a flexible attitude to work and tasking is essential.
· Anyone with experience in surveying at a distinct advantage
