We have an exciting opportunity for a junior / intermediate level CAD Technician to join our Yorkshire team. This is an essential role, which will enable our success in maintaining a high level of technical competence when delivering projects for our client Yorkshire Water.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Supporting the Design Lead to plan and programme CAD requirements Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team supporting engineers with a variety of mechanical and civil drawing and modelling requirements Periodically undertake site visits for project appreciation and personal development Interpret client and industry drawing and modelling specifications Taking part in design review meetings Production of 2D drawings such as P&IDs, layouts and general arrangements, as well as producing 3D models Contribute to effective document management Assist engineers by utilizing CAD tools to check for service clashes, appraise spatial constraints, produce hydraulic profiles and longitudinal sections
The ideal candidate will be a junior or intermediate CAD technician looking to further their career. Experience within a municipal water / waste water environment would be advantageous although not essential.
It goes without saying that you will have excellent IT skills including the ability to use MS Word, Excel and the use of design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
You will possess good communication skills both oral and written and thrive in a busy and challenging environment.
Ideally you will hold a vocational or academic Engineering qualification such as an NVQ, HNC or ONC.

Salary: £18.00-£24.00 per hour
