ROLE OVERVIEW
The primary purpose of the role is to work alongside the draughtsman to create detailed design and specification of food factory fit out projects by producing technical drawings. To work to specific requirements of a project and its design to transform ideas and concepts into detailed technical drawings.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties will include creating technical and highly detailed drawings using AutoCAD 2D and other computer software.
- Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings, such as space Planning, Building Elevations, Building Plans, Electrical/Mechanical Layouts /Schematics, Fire Strategy, Building Location Site Plans, Tea Point / Kitchen Design.
- Add details to architectural plans from your knowledge of building techniques.
- Develop concept design into detailed design including detailed risk assessments.
- Work with mechanical and electrical contractors to develop M&E design.
- Calculate dimensions and material requirements with accurate precision
- Preparing, reviewing and redrafting as needed. Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
- Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 2-3 years+ experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D desirable, plus up to date knowledge of releases.
- Ideally, experience of using your skills in the fit out industry.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Good all-round technical design expertise to British regulations and standards including Building Control requirements.
- Ability to produce clear and informative production drawings and technical information.
- Impeccable attention to detail and have sound knowledge of the discipline.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Experience:
- AutoCAD: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
