Onsite - Position requires an employee to be onsite on a full-time basis
G M Motorsports Performance Engineering expanding its motorsports engineering group. GM Motorsports races in NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA and is currently pursuing an entry into Formula 1. We are seeking a Motorsports CAD Design Engineer to aid in various designs from racecar parts (BIW, suspension) and equipment (molds, test equipment). You will work with the racing programs during all stages of life from part design to FEA and then, support the aero group converting surfaces to parts Position is open to international hiring for qualified candidates.
The ability to work collaboratively with the various members of the program teams will be a critical skill for this position. We will expect you to be capable of thinking analytically, be client-oriented, and be highly structured with excellent relationships and communicative skills. You must be able to multi-task in a dynamic ever-changing environment and bring a strong work ethic and integrity. Experience with CATIA is desired , especially experience with 3DX . Knowledge and experience with Team Center and NX is beneficial. The ability to work proficiently with solids, surfaces, complex assemblies, and drawings is desired. Position is open to international hiring for qualified candidates.

What you will need:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree
5 or more years of post -graduation automotive, motorsports or aerospace industry CAD design experience
CATIA and 3DX is preferred
Teamcenter and NX
Solid modeling
Surface modeling
Various Cad systems
Rapid prototype
Ability to handle multiple programs efficiently
Excellent written and verbal skills
Basic vehicle knowledge
Participation in racing, either professional or amateur is highly desired
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics
Knowledge of aerodynamics
Participation in racing, either professional or amateur is highly desired
