Job Purpose
The role of Cable Installation Engineer is really important to us. You will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of a wide variety of Hosted Cloud Voice solutions and on-premises PBX solutions.
Your responsibilities day to day will be…
- Manage your day-to-day work schedule, ensuring each task is completed to the highest standard.
What do we expect of you?

Experience & competence.
Planning & installing Cat5, & CAT6 structured cabling.- Testing, tracing and fault-finding data cables.
- Terminate and test data cables within patch panels and data outlets.
- Patching out data cabinets as per client's requirements
- Planning & the installation of fibre cabling, including multimode and Single mode fibre cables.
- Testing, tracing and fault-finding fibre cables.
- Ability to terminate fibre cables within fibre panels/fibre boxes using Fibre Splicer or Hot Cured/Crimp terminations.
- Planning & installing voice cabling systems.
- Testing, tracing and fault-finding voice cables.
- Ability to terminate/jumpering voice cabling within 237A Krone strips.
- Installation of cable trays, basket trays, PVC and metal trunking, PVC and metal conduit.
- Fitting out associated voice & data equipment (connection units, hubs, switches, routers, patch panels etc).
Full support and any additional product training that may be required will be provided to develop you into a highly skilled and valued member of the engineering team.
