We have an exciting opportunity for a Buying Assistant to join our lifestyle bathrooms team at our Huddersfield HO.
Our lifestyle team encompasses two of our fastest growing categories furniture123.co.uk and betterbathrooms.co.uk, this role will support the Better Bathrooms commercial team.
Working with a team of imaginative, creative and trend led, Buyer's and Assistant Buyers you will help the future growth of the business unit by supporting the team in a range of administrative duties.

More about the Role:
Support the team in researching trends providing insight into product, prices, suppliers, and competitor info.- Create mood boards
- Liaise daily with our supply base across the world via Teams and email.
- Support the buying team with a variety of administration duties including running daily, weekly, and monthly ad hoc reports.
- Visiting trade fairs and buyers to glean information and find new products.
- Working with buying & merchandising teams to ensure 100% data accuracy (cost prices, invoice queries, logistical information, line listing, discontinued & new products, stock codes etc).
- Assist in monitoring and reducing returns rates, working with quality control and customer services to identify trends and patterns.
- Liaise with the marketing team to ensure products are displayed correctly on the website and within the right time frames to support launch/maximise sales.
- Manage the department’s critical path to ensure timely development of products and compliance.
What are we looking for in a Buyer's Assistant?
A passion for product and an eye for trends- A positive attitude to change and a degree of flexibility
- A degree in buying preferred
- Previous experience working as buyer’s assistant would be great but by no means essential
- Good MS Office knowledge including excel, word and outlook
- Friendly, confident, and enthusiastic with a great eye for detail
- Self-Motivated able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
