Overview:
Multimatic EU-Matic is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Coventry, United Kingdom. It is Multimatic’s European base for mechanisms production, supplying automotive customers with competitive, high-quality hinges and door checks.
EU-Matic is currently seeking to recruit a Buyer that will Manage and maintain EU-Matic Production supply base, to ensure goods are Purchased at the best total acquisition cost. Develop robust commodity strategies and cost down plans to support business requirements. Improve communications between EU-Matic and its vendors

Key responsibilities:
- Supplier Development / improvement plans.
- Liaise with allocated suppliers on a daily basis.
- Maintain approved supplier list.
- Develop commodity strategy for Group purchasing.
- Develop QAF library to ensure total acquisition cost.
- Develop spreadsheets to support sourcing nomination decisions.
- Develop a cost down plan for production and MRO purchasing.
- Provide MRO commercial support.
- Obtain LTA agreements with vendors.
- Support NPI, quotations, vendor selection, PPAP process.
- Support Material planning team with problem resolution.
- Support Material planning team in reduction of inventory and shortages.
- Support Quality team with problem resolution.
- Process ECN’s and issue all relevant information to suppliers, amend blanket orders etc
- Collate DMN information with QA and finance departments and issue information for reclaim of costs to suppliers
Basic Requirements:
- Previous experience in automotive manufacturing environment would be an asset
- Computer experience preferred MRP systems, Windows environment
- Good organization skills
- Previous Materials/Purchasing experience
- The ability to plan and meet deadlines
- Must be able to interact with all levels of employees within a multicultural environment.
- Understanding of IATF16949 requirements and procedures would be an asset.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
