Position Overview

As a buyer you will be responsible for the procurement process for our company's goods. You will work closely with our vendors to ensure that we receive the best possible prices and delivery schedules for the goods we need. Your duties will include negotiating contracts, evaluating supplier performance, and maintaining accurate records of purchases. The role will also involve overseeing aspects of international trade, including managing import and export operations and customs compliance. This role offers significant opportunities for growth and promotion within the company.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute procurement strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.

· Identify, evaluate and select suppliers that meet the company's needs for quality, price, and delivery.

· Negotiate pricing and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

· Analyze market trends and keep abreast of changes in the industry to ensure the company stays competitive.

. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials and services.

. Manage the purchase order process, including creating purchase orders, verifying deliveries, and resolving discrepancies.

. Maintain accurate records of purchases and communicate with internal stakeholders regarding purchasing status and progress.

.Develop and implement import and export strategies to optimize business operations.

.Ensure compliance with regulations governing international trade, including customs compliance and tariff regulations

.Manage import and export logistics, including coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party service providers.

.Work closely with internal teams to manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods.

.Monitor international markets and identify new business opportunities and potential risks.

.Collaborate with creative team to develop concepts for new products

.Oversee the development and execution of visual and written content, including graphics, copy, and multimedia assets for new products.

.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

.Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.

.Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

.Proficient in Microsoft Office

.Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and make sound decisions.

.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

LOCATION: Quay St, Manchester M3 3JE

SALARY: £35,000

HOURS: 0800-1800 MON-FRIDAY, 47.5hrs per week, 30 minute lunch break

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00 per year
