Job Title: Buyer

Reporting To: Directors

Job Description: Responsible for sourcing and selecting products and suppliers for each contract whilst ensuring costs are kept within the allocated budget and purchases are delivered according to schedule.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for sourcing and selecting new products and reviewing existing products.

· Responsible for obtaining quotations and delivery specifics from contractors and suppliers.

· Responsible for sourcing suppliers, building relationships with existing suppliers whilst seeking new ones.

· Monitoring of supplier service levels.

· Ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time.

· Organise the transport (lorry and deliveries to site)

· Responsible for stock control and costs.

· Attending trade events on behalf of the Company.

· Reacting to any changes in product need, in particular relating to feedback given by customers/colleagues/contractors.

· To work closely with the Contractors Manager to complete projects on time and within the allocated budget and reduced if possible.

· Forecasting upcoming demand.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

· To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities of the post.

· To act at all times as a representative of the Company and ensure that the customer is completely satisfied.

· To adhere to all Company policies and practices, legal regulations and to undertake relevant training and development, responding positively to new and alternate systems.

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

Salary: £39,557.00-£42,355.00 per year
