Machine Assembly Fitter
Workshop Assembly Fitter (electrically biased)
Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Rates: £15.00 - £20.00p/h (Limited co./Umbrella)
Electrical / machinery build / automation / wiring / routing
I am working with a key client in South Yorkshire, who specialise in the design, build and supply of bespoke special purpose machinery into the automotive, industrial, food and materials handling industries. They are looking for an experienced Contract Machinery Assembly Fitter who can work with the existing team on an upcoming project
You will assist with electrical fitting and assembly activities, working on a day shift, with the potential of overtime.
As a skilled Assembly Fitter, you will require to conduct the following duties:
v Ability to read complex engineering drawings/schematics to tight tolerances
v Assemble, fit all aspects electrically and mechanically at times to ensure fit for purpose
v Ability with high volume parts and moving components etc for complex automated machinery build
v Building panels, wiring, routing, fitting air pipes etc
v Ensure all paperwork/job cards are filled out correctly and part lists are correct
The successful Assembly Fitter will need to have the following attributes:
v Good experience with LEAN, 5’s and Continuous Improvement principles
v A strong team player
v Experience within a special purpose or automated machinery environment
v Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
v You will ideally be apprentice trained with an electrical engineering background / electrical Engineering NVQ Level 3.
