The Resourcing Officer is responsible for delivering excellent practice in all aspects of Dogs Trust recruitment.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. In an average year, Dogs Trust centres care for over 14,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

The successful candidate will work closely with hiring managers to agree and implement recruitment plans, ensuring processes run smoothly and that successful hires are made. You will draft and place adverts, develop and implement effective interview and assessment tools,and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed, ensuring there is a positive candidate experience throughout. You will also help to monitor recruitment activity, providing reports as required.

To be successful in this position, you will have a proven track record of achievement in recruitment, ideally in an in-house setting, consistently giving sound professional advice. You will have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and you will be a proactive and enthusiastic team player.

You need to be conscientious, very well organised, flexible, friendly and discreet with a genuine interest in and commitment to Dogs Trust’s ethos and aims. In this post there may be a requirement for travel throughout the UK.
