THE GIG

As our Business Solutions Analyst for Finance, you will add value to the business through driving technology and process efficiency improvements in line with the Business Strategy as part of the Enterprise Applications team.

The role involves supporting the BAU and continuous business and systems improvements initiatives globally across all Finance areas.

You will help manage the functional finance area of enterprise applications enhancements from defining business and systems requirements right through to UAT, training and implementation, dealing with high-level stakeholders in a business-critical, fast-moving role.

As our Business Systems Specialist D365 F&O you will be responsible for:

  • Being the liaison between IT and the business for Finance enterprise applications continuous improvement endeavours and change projects
  • Analysing business requirements, delivering technical business solutions and systems administration
  • Learning and testing new business application functionalities
  • Analysing complex data sets and relational databases and write clear business documentation, such as business process documents, technical specifications, and training documents
  • Building reports in AX/D365 Management Reporter
  • Deliver BAU finance systems activity to the Finance function – month-end, period-end, issue investigation and resolution, reporting, scenario analysis
  • Providing 2nd line support for day to day BAU issues
  • Keeping on top of system bugs logging, testing and resolution
  • Reviewing and challenging current operational processes and information requirements to ensure optimum use is being made of the company’s existing system facilities
  • Design, specify and implement value-adding technology solutions in line with the business strategy.
  • Identify, analyse, and document business and technical requirements (e.g. process, solution design, configuration, security, documents, reports).
  • Ensuring that new solutions are clearly documented and that super users are adequately trained.
  • Adhering to a strict change control policy for all application developments and configurations.
  • Supporting the Test QA with the design and execution of tests for continuous application update releases

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with D365 F&O module.
  • Implementing D365 Configuration changes.
  • Recent VAT and Tax D365 change experience.
  • Experience in making D365 changes for Finance in a global retailer
  • Can be assigned to deliver Finance changes to document requirements, formulate design, facilitate development, test and support go-live – maybe integration with D365 or could be another software package
  • If required provide out-of-hours support on a rota and fix D365 issues if utilised
  • Work unaided to resolve Finance Service Desk tickets as required
  • Talks accountant talk
  • Successfully delivered It Changes using an agile methodology
  • Experience in building reports in AX/D365 Management Reporter
  • Experience as a business analyst/systems accountant having previously worked on a large-scale project
