DESCRIPTION
This position is for a senior business facing role within the EMEA Syndicate Operations team. We provide
logistical support to the EMEA Global Capital Markets (GCM) department in all their equity and fixed
income new issuance activity. GCM is one of the firm’s most critical, dynamic, and strategic business’
undertaking high value, high focus transactions. These include both Primary IPO share offerings, Primary
Debt offerings and Secondary sourced business such as large block sales and follow-ons. The team covers
all European and MENA markets on transactions that are often complex with initial listings on Exchanges
and primary settlement of securities. The successful candidate will be expected to act as a designate ‘deal
captain’ on trades providing technical and specialized operational support for the successful closing of
transactions. This entails extensive interaction with external counterparties such as legal counsel, Central
Securities Depositaries (CSD), local market agents and banking counterparts amongst. Additionally, the
individual will be responsible for extensive front to back transactional coordination with internal
Operations stakeholders and other division such as Corporate Treasury and Sales and Trading during the
lifecycle of a deal. Given the specialized and the high-profile nature of the functions covered, the role is
aimed at a Director/ AVP level candidate.
The role is on the private side of firm business as, by their nature, the transactions supported often
involve confidential/ private sensitive information and the team sits in the segregated GCM department.
Although the role involves autonomy as ‘deal captain’ the team all work closely together providing each
other support and coverage throughout the pre-launch and closing of transactions – teamwork is key to

London and four in Frankfurt responsible for Operational and accounting functions for EMEA Equity GCM
products. The role is open due to external mobility.

What we’re looking for:
- Prior experience in a Trade Support/middle office or Settlement Role
- Extensive experience and knowledge of EMEA markets – including clearing and settlement
- Regulatory and Capital Market Knowledge
- Strong Equity Product knowledge
- Experience of Primary market transactions – not essential
