We have an exciting opportunity for a Business System Analyst to join our team based in Slough. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities of our Business System Analyst:
- Review current ways of working across the business and understand the implementation of existing solutions
- Understand business needs and define business requirements for new business solutions related to potential change or business transformation, fully understanding how these will fit within the overall systems architecture, ensuring that the solutions meet the business needs
- Undertake stakeholder analysis by engaging with a wide range of business stakeholders to obtain and capture business system requirements (both functional and non-functional) ensuring that the business problem or opportunity is clearly defined, using multiple techniques including (but not limited to) engaging workshops, interviews and observation
- Document requirements in the form of user stories and functional specifications for new business systems and processes ensuring that business requirements are well structured and clearly defined with supporting evidence including process flows and data models, with valid and complete acceptance criteria
- As relevant, identify processes and systems required to introduce your recommendations
- As appropriate, actively contribute to establishing the business case linked to system changes and gaining commitment to the change
- Effectively play-back business requirements to stakeholders ensuring that they are fully understood, including, as appropriate the best method for introducing your recommendations and gaining senior management agreement. Effectively communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments, addressing any uncertainty and concern
- Manage risks and issues associated with business requirements definition, ensuring that the overall solution remains fit for purpose
- Fully understand technical solutions, validate work products by the team as part of the deployment of business solutions
- For each business solution, validate the testing strategy and the test scenarios, ensuring the appropriate level of test coverage is in place

- A structured approach, with the confidence to apply this to ambiguous situations and scenarios and bring clarity for others
- Excellent ability to present information so that it is engaging, well-structured and appropriate to the audience
- Strong ability to create user stories, and present information so that it is engaging, well-structured and appropriate to the audience. Including data models, business process, user stories, use cases and design
- Passionately customer-centric with a strong appreciation for user experience
- Understand business change needs, assess the impact of changes and documenting requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills
- The ability to effectively multi-task, work to tight deadlines and keep your cool
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Solid know-how and hands-on experience in developing requirements for retail business systems
- Passion for technology and multi-channel retail and emerging technologies
