Job description
- Review application licenses consumed by employees/contractors and see opportunities to optimize spend and/or consumption
- Streamline, improve and document Software Asset Management policies and processes
- Align operational processes and policies with industry standards by conducting industry research and benchmarking on an ongoing basis
- Create software entitlement baseline metrics enabling effective license positions for detailed analysis of our compliance posture
- Maintain day to day Software Asset Management operational tasks
- Partner with cross functional collaborators across Cisco to perform analysis on competing applications to agree on what the recommend standard should be used with Cisco
- Maintain knowledge on developments, trends, and standard processes in technology and business networks
- Build and refine application usage metrics
- Take the lead on end to end software Audits to ensure compliance by partnering with key collaborators including management and legal.
- Present recommendations from analysis to leadership and multi-functional leadership as part of the existing Commercial Excellence Board and Application Advisory Board
- Participate in Agile processes and document tasks via Jira
- Product owner, software asset management team members and various internal collaborators across all business units within Cisco
- External and internal Auditors of software applications
- Leaders of the Application Advisory Board and Commercial Excellence Board
- Software Asset management experience desirable
- Flexera One Experience desirable
- Well-developed analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great written, presentation and verbal communication skills
- Ability to creatively approach and solve situations
- Experience in working in an Agile environment with Jira experience a plus
- Self-motivated and the ability to learn quickly
- Knowledge of lifecycle license management
