We are seeking a results-oriented, data-driven Data Analyst for our Marketing Intelligence team to help plan and execute integrated analytic strategies for our clients. *About the Role*
The Junior Data Analyst strategizes, develops, and delivers analytics solutions for Vovia’s wide client roster. You’ll work collaboratively with other Analysts, Media specialists, Digital specialists and Client Service team members to define and implement analytic strategies designed to track, measure, and deliver actionable insights.
*What You’ll Be Doing*
- Setup website tracking and tagging via Google tag manager and other tagging tools as required
- Developing client metrics and KPI strategies
- Monitoring campaign performance against performance goals
- Periodic and ad hoc report construction for stakeholders
- Analyze and interpret data and external research in order to communicate actionable insights and data-driven recommendations
- Work collaboratively with team members
- Thought leadership, problem-solving with an eye to future opportunities
*What You’ll Need to Be Successful*
*Must Have’s*
- BComm, BSc, or BA Degree and/or appropriate combination of experience
- Experience with web analytics solutions, such as Google Analytics, and/or Adobe Analytics
- Google Analytics certification is a required
- Has a passion for data, spreadsheets, and analysis
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain findings in a digestible manner for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Extreme attention to detail
- High level of organization and efficiency
- Experience with managing and debugging analytics implementations on websites preferred
- Experience with tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager and an understanding of campaign UTMs is preferred
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or Google DataStudio/Looker Studio preferred
*Nice to Have’s*
- Experience with digital marketing and web usability technologies/platforms, such as Google AdWords, Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Facebook Ads is considered an asset
- Experience with SQL for querying and reporting against large-scale data sets is considered an asset
- Experience coding in JavaScript, R, or Python is considered an asset
- Knowledge of the digital advertising industry, including current trends and best practices
