Job description

Next-Up, a pioneering business that helps people plan for unretirement and rediscover new ways to use their skills, is seeking a Business Support Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Founder and Director Victoria Tomlinson and working closely with Sandy Welsh, the successful candidate will provide support to our rapidly growing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project and event management support to ensure the smooth running of Next-Up’s services and events
  • Handle general administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, responding to emails, and maintaining databases
  • Manage Next-Up's social media platforms, create content, and engage with the community to increase our online presence
  • Edit and publish podcasts and videos to various platforms
  • Upload and update blog posts on WordPress
  • Schedule and post on social media platforms
  • Manage social media accounts, including responding to comments and messages
  • Assist in developing multimedia content ideas and strategies
  • Monitor and report on the performance of multimedia content
  • Collaborate with team to ensure that multimedia content aligns with the company's goals and brand identity
  • Assist with market research, identifying opportunities and trends in the unretirement space
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement new initiatives that support the growth of the business
  • Attend team meetings and provide feedback on strategies and goals

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a business support role or similar position
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other office tech tools
  • Familiarity with WordPress and social media platforms
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the unretirement space or related industries is a plus

This is a part-time position, three to four days a week, with one day required to be Friday. The rest of the days are flexible, and some work can be done remotely. Next-Up invests in employee training and development. The salary for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: Up to £26,000.00 per year
