Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS FT is an acute secondary care provider located across North and North East of Lincolnshire and East Riding of Yorkshire. We operate across three hospital sites in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole as well as various community settings. As a Foundation Trust we are accountable to our local community. The Business Support Officer is an exciting role which is part of a proactive and supportive team working to ensure the Trust meets its statutory and regulatory duties. You will organise a range of meetings to support the corporate governance team, which will include the full facilitation of meetings and preparation of papers/reports and production of the minutes from these meetings. This includes the need to seek and collate required papers, and prompt and follow up actions for senior colleagues to ensure they achieve the meeting deadlines.
You will provide comprehensive and effective administrative support. This will include dealing with people personally, or via telephone enquiries or emails. Ensuring efficient administrative systems and processes are considered and improved regularly and as required will be a function of this role, and will require experience of using of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will also provide support the trust Document Control Library service in this role.
An eye for detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision whilst organising, prioritising and delivering your own workload alongside that of the team, often to tight deadlines will be required.

Develop basic charts and visual aid to support the effective monitoring of key areas of work.
Work with the wider team to develop communication and engagement plans where required and assist with the delivery of these plans. Work with the corporate communications team to ensure proactive communications are delivered as required.
To oversee and arrange, attend and provide required administrative support for specific Governor / Membership events within the annual Calendar of Events ensuring that the appropriate support is available to Governors / Members and internal and external speakers, this will sometimes be held out of usual office hours and across site.
Assume responsibility for organising office machinery and equipment, including ordering of stationery and supplies and liaising with other department staff as appropriate.
Ensure that confidential personal files are maintained as required for the Team and that the holiday and sickness/absence reports are maintained as required.
Maintain management templates to support governance and department functionality.
Ensure that team records are stored in a way that is compliant with GDPR and represents ‘best practice’ including auditing the filing structure.
Co-ordinate invoices for authorisation and submission to Payments.
Any other duties as may reasonably be required.
