Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Business and Test Analyst include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, team leads, and development teams to elicit and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Analyse and prioritise user stories and requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Work closely with team leads to refine and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects business priorities and objectives.
- Conduct user acceptance testing to validate the software's compliance with user expectations and business requirements.
- Perform functional testing to ensure the software's adherence to functional specifications and verify its intended functionality.
- Execute regression tests to identify any unexpected issues or regressions introduced by new software features or changes.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Design, develop, and execute performance and stability test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify potential performance issues, bottlenecks, and stability risks.

Required skills and experience
While the ideal candidate should fulfil most of the list below, we know that ideal candidates rarely exist, so will consider all applications from people keen on learning to fill in any gaps.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
- Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Experience as a QA Tester or similar role, with a focus on User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Functional Testing, and Regression Testing.
- Expertise in writing and executing automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Experience in designing and executing test cases and test scenarios for UAT, functional testing, and regression testing.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum
