The role
We have a new opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our growing team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis in London. This role will suit an individual looking to develop their career in a commercial finance/ business partnering team with significant exposure to the business.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the purpose of this role will be to support the delivery of high quality finance business partnering across our Commercial (Advertising) team.
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for providing commercial finance support to Business Leaders, driving performance through high quality analysis and decision support; measuring outcomes through KPIs, metrics and financial performance, and, looking forward, predicting outcomes of resource allocation and investment decisions underpinning strategic priorities.
As a team, you’ll collaborate with the broader Finance Community to deliver value to the business, seeking technical and specialist support from the Group Finance functions, the FP&A Centre of Excellence, and the Business Service Centre.
Some key responsibilities will include:
- Business partner in a pro-active, commercially astute manner – develop expertise in TV advertising, understanding key performance drivers, trading models, deal structures, technologies, competitor context and latest industry developments.
- Explore and analyse data, extracting valuable insights to enable informed decision making.
- Contribute to strategy through the development of budgets, forecasts and business plans – supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner to provide financial leadership and analytical support to help shape business activity at a strategic and operational level.
- Deliver strategic cost management - understand and influence key cost drivers, optimising value from the cost base; supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner to review, challenge and prioritise investment cases and strategic initiatives, ensuring benefits commitments are delivered.
- Drive improvements to processes, accounting quality & control.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Commercially-minded qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or QBE with commercial finance business partnering experience.
- We’re also happy to consider candidates who have recently completed Grad Schemes with business partnering experience, looking for development and progression opportunities.

- Inquisitive and forward thinking with sound commercial awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships and build credibility with staff from different levels and disciplines.
- Strong spreadsheet skills; experience of and ability to leverage different IT systems.
- Confidence to initiate, drive and deliver change; ability to proactively challenge current practices and think innovatively.
- Action oriented; flexible and able to work outside a standard structure and framework.
- A team player - someone who is open and able to deliver beyond their personal brief.
- Self motivated with a can do attitude and a desire to constantly learn and develop.
