This is an exciting opportunity to apply for a newly established substantive post (up to 0.60 WTE) to support the on-going delivery of elective recovery, across both the Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital sites.
The post holder will support the Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Elective Recovery and Cancer) – providing targeted support to the challenged divisional and speciality teams, working towards post-Covid business as usual delivery, optimisation of pathways and resources, and the coordination of mutual aid.
We are looking for an Operations Business Manager who has experience of working in an NHS organisation, has a broad range of skills and experience that can be applied to projects in an exciting, challenging yet rewarding environment. The role will provide an opportunity to develop existing skills and abilities, with a high level of autonomy to work in a self-directed way within the parameters of the post.
The successful applicant must have high-level people management skills, including decision-making, negotiating, influencing and persuasion skills

HUTH has two main sites: Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital with an annual budget of approximately £800 million. The Trust employs around 11,000 staff and serves an extended population of 1.25 million, delivering a number of outpatient services from locations across the area.
The Trust’s secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services. These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.
HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
