Intermediate consulting position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.
As a Business Intelligence Developer in the Oracle Health's Analytics team, you will contribute and develop high quality analytics for Oracle’s strategic programmes, using a number of BI development platforms including Oracle Analytics Cloud, Business Objects and Tableau. In addition to developing content you will also help to guide our clients through new product implementation, which includes helping them to understand our core data model principles, providing key advice in data onboarding, and helping our clients get the best out of the products that are available to them. Using your ETL and database knowledge, combined with your technical skills you will guide our clients to excellence by creating impactful analytics and providing top rate consultancy, which will enable Oracle’s clients to improve patient outcomes, enable self-service redesign, reduce per capita cost and help to establish data driven cultures.
As well as delivering value to clients, you will be expected to contribute and identify areas for process improvement internally. You will take the lead in driving through workflow, business process. You will analyze business and hospital processes to integrate and align solutions to Oracle standards and the health system’s needs. Using effective influencing skills, you will work with colleagues from other solution areas and clients to leverage best practice examples and identify benefits from implementing the reporting solutions. You should be proficient in change management, helping clients identify opportunities for improvements, and be accountable for achieving the project’s stated outcomes as well as explaining and demonstrating the benefits of Oracle’s solutions. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or 4 years relevant work experience:
- Plus 2 years’ higher education or work experience directly related to the duties on the job, including:
- At least 1 year report building work experience including business intelligence (BI) tools and programming languages such as SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 years’ experience of working with NHS data including commissioning, activity and clinical data and other datasets including SUS, HRGs, clinical codes
- Familiar with Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableauor other data visualisation applications
- Knowledge of information Governance legislation and requirements
- Experience of synthesising information from a range of sources
- Experience of communicating complex information to a lay audience
- Experience of data management, creating and updating data models
Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Ability to work overtime and irregular hours as needed
