About the role:
As part of our strategic aim to be a truly data driven business, we are looking for a Business analyst to lead and drive this key objective. This will allow us to gain new levels of insight and understanding, allowing us to optimise the way we operate and provide brilliant customer experiences.
Reporting into the Group Chief Commercial Officer you will be the group’s subject matter expert in Business analytics, delivering both operational reports and transformational project using AI/ML along with other methods to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- To produce analysis, reports, and dashboards for the business in ERP (IFS / Oracle SQL), BI (Power BI/MySQL), Crystal and Excel as required.
- To create clear reports that tell compelling stories about how customers, clients or staff work with the business
- To optimise and maintain reporting schedules to ensure the timely distribution of required MI reports
- To help transform the learndirect reporting style from flat tabular reports to drill down reports, visual charts or dashboards as appropriate
- Keeping a strong service SLA approach within an Agile development delivery model.
- To work closely with the business to identify issues or opportunities and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making
- To merge, manage, interrogate, and extract data to supply tailored analysis to colleagues, or the wider organisation
- To maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results
- To use a mix of machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce solutions to problems
- To look for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across other functions in the business
- To stay curious and enthusiastic about using algorithms to solve problems and enthuse others to see the benefit of your work.
- Firm grasp of presenting information and insight in digital forms
